Actually there are a number of reasons. The government of Saudi Arabia (the house of Saud) does not support or condone acts of terrorism. In fact they have had several terrorist attacks within their country to which they have responded to swiftly and definitely.

The house of Saud has confiscated ALL that assets Usama Bin Laden had within Saudi Arabia. UBL has had his Saudi Arabian citizenship revoked by the government. He has been excommunicated by his family. UBL is classed persona non Grata and should he enter the country he would be arrested by Saudi Arabia. What more do you want?

The citizenship of a terrorist has nothing to do with the country they came from "UNLESS" their parent government is backing their actions. If the terrorists were Saudi but were backed by Iran. Should we have bomb Ryaid instead of Teran? Al Qaeda is not a government. They are an organization.

Saddam Hussein was blatant in his support of both Hamas and Hezbollah. He publicly gave checks to the families of suicide bombers. His WAS a government who supported terrorist. Were the terrorists he supported responsible for 9/11? No. But to ignore Saddam's actions would be like only declaring war on Japan after Pearl Harbor and not declaring war on Italy and Germany. How about one more current? We go attack Mexico because they aren't stopping people from coming into the US illegally.

Feel free to E-mail me with any counter arguments.

Actually only 15 of the 19 9/11 terrorists were Saudi, not 18.

And that 1/2 number is probably not accurate.

They are not sanctioned by the Saudi government, In fact they are hostile to the Saudi government which has suffered more terrorist attacks than we have. If Bin Laden set foot in Saudi Arabia, he'd be arrested and executed within a week.

Are you implying that all Saudi's are terrorists? I don't think you are but just to set the record straight, the Saudi Government is doing an exceptional job in fighting terrorism. Check out the scorecard.

Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11. Remember Kuwait and the Gulf War? The 17 UN resolutions, the kicking out of the UN inspectors, the breaking of their surrender treaty and the firing on US planes in the no fly zone and the ignoring of US warnings and continuing to thumb their nose after having lost a war and the ignored the conditions to stay in power? And so on....

Instead of going after criminals, if you want to go after their nationality, let me promise you I am also having the same thoughts about Christian missionaries of various nationalities working in India, being party to the molestation and sexual abuse of little children. I want my government to cancel visa first and detain ALL foreigners (from all countries in this world who have links to Vatican), in prison, for links to this inhuman and terrorist molestation of children by the catholic priests,.

I Think Australian government did the same to an Indian doctor in Australia, the charge being, he had e-mail contacts (which had nothing to do with terrorism by the way) with some of the people responsible for the terrorist activities in UK.

oil... same reason why when we find out that people in iraq who are attacking us are getting money from saudi arabia we do nothing (but if iran gives any iraqi money we're ready to go to war!)

Because, unlike the governments that were in power in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is not the Saudi government that is sponsoring, supplying, and harboring the terrorist organizations.
