Hello Everyone!
My PC has gone into a loop whereby it restarts instantly after the Windows is Starting up Screen. Is it due to virus? If so Is there CD/floppy disk based scanner available?

The system boots to the option list for:
"safe mode; safe mode with; last known good configuration..." (etc)
but it does not matter which option I select, the system restarts/reboots itself. It loads to the point where a flash of "Windows is starting up" but immediately restarts/reboots.

I have just ran a CD based MemTest v3.3 which was from another suggestion- no joy.
I have intensively inspected all connections and location of boards for interconnectivity - testing for any accidental earthing of the mainboard, no joy - and i have sufficient power resources from the psu to supply the system overall (400 Watt)
I have inspected the VideoCard, but then could it be the problem?

BIOS settings are in order (i have tried everything)

Please help!! I don't want to reinstall everything!

It sounds as if you have picked up the blaster virus or a derivitive of the same. You will need a good fix program to get rid of it. There should still be one available for download at www.symantec.com

The yellow exclamation is a warning that something isn't working perfect with that audio seen. try turning off your computer thoroughly, ..with the button .. no longer with the computer..do it manually. Then till now homestead windows secure mode can arise, press f8 and carry it down .. you will hear a super sort of clicking, that's no longer an issue, it is basically bypassing homestead windows returned...yet while it is compelled to try this, it could provide you extra techniques to tutor on homestead windows without secure mode.. although in case you have an audio seen conflict/problem, it nonetheless could desire to begin of secure mode. solid luck

Get a program called BartPE (www.nu2.nu/pebuilder). Build the cd image as per the instructions. (Use another computer) Boot from this CD and do a thorough disk scan / recover. It worked for me.

Your system's MBR (Master Boot Record has got corrupted. Ultimately you will have to format your primary partition & reinstall the operating system. Portable drives with antivirus will also work if system boots.
