I agree a little I mean everyone can be lazy at some point. Whether its walking the dog earily in the morning or doing chores. See what your parents want when they call you in the middle of your favorite show, your reluctant to go or your too lazy to walk up the stairs. Everyone is a little lazy at some point its just apart of life.

Do you exactly say that the University Doctor is considered naturally lazy? Remember he is also human being like you.

I mostly agree. The most extraordinary humans aren't as lazy as the ordinary ones. This leads one to believe that humans have a generally lackadaisical nature (aside from the said few).

I doubt that you could identify that "university Dr" but if there, indeed, is such a person, he is not very experienced with people. Nor is he very educated, since most surveys (of employees as well as managers) comes up with the exact-opposite opinion. Most people WANT to work, and do a good job at it.

To some extent, yes; we have a higher intellect than other animals, so we have out smarted the genes in our DNA that put us on auto pilot, or in other words, 'free will'. So instead of being like the scurrying squirrel and having no choice but to endlessly gather nut after nut, we have a choice, since we're so highly evolved.

Lazy? Depends on what he meant by lazy. Humans are/were smart enough to have evolved methods and tools to make many of their tasks easier. That's not laziness, it's intelligence, and self-preservation.

yes we are all lazy to a certain degree but that is to do with our intelligence.
why spend half hour washing up when you have a dishwasher?
why sweep the floor when you have a vaccum?
why walk to the shops when you can drive?
why go out and meet people when you have yahoo answers?
(only joking on the last one)
we are getting lazier as we get more technological but thats all to do with our intelligence

hmmm....maybe he said that because of the things we invent to make our lives easier...machines do most of our work right now...like cars to do our walking, internet for research... canned goods, instant food whenever we want 'em... and other countless things..
but IF that's the case, well i don't think we are lazy.
i think we're naturally brilliant. i mean... Edison actually tried 10,000 times making the light bulb. do you think that's being lazy?
