I did not see that second line(I was a bummed out). However, a moment later my husband picked it up, looked at it and there was a faint second line in the results window. Has anyone else ever seen a faint line and has had it be correct? We are keeping our fingers crossed as we really want to be pregnant.
Thanks in advance for your answers!! :)

they say that any line is a positive line. I would go and buy another test but a different brand and test again. The results are also only good for 10 mintues so if you looked at it then, then you are probably pregant.

This happened to me with both of my last pregnancies. I would take the tests early, maybe a little too early, as I was eager to know if we were pregnant. Then I would set the test down and a very faint line would appear. It can be so misleading, but the tests say that anytime you have a line, however faint it may be, it is a positive test. The only thing that can make that little line appear is HCG present in the urine (and some medicines that contain progesterone when one is taking them for fertility issues). So it sounds to me like you have gotten a positive result. One time I even took a test and it read with just one line, so I threw it in the trashcan and walked by an hour or so later to discover that it now had a second line. I thought maybe it was an evap line so I waited and took another test a few days later and sure enough it came back positive. Good luck to you!

With my first preg i took a test without telling my hubby cos it wasn't planned. I followed the instructions really well and after the alloted time the result was negative. (I took the test a few days before my period was due cos i couldn't wait and was really nervous).

I put the used preg test in my coat pocket so i could throw away later on - was sure that i wasn't preg at this stage.

The next morning i got up to make a cuppa, snuck the test out of my pocket to throw away and glanced at it before putting it in the bin and to my complete amazement there was a line in the positive window where there hadn't been the day before! It was really really faint but definately something there so i confessed to hubby who was convinced that i wasn't preg. I then had to wait about 4-5 days to take the next test (my period was then late) and it was very much a positive result.

I have heard that you can get false positive if test is left too long but i think it is incredibly rare. Take another test as soon as possible and then maybe another one in a couple of days if you're not sure.

A line means pregnant, no matter how faint sweetie!

Hope my story gives you some reassurance that this could be baby for you both!

All the best xx

Actually when I took my test the first time I had a very faint almost white horizontal line and a very bright pink vertical line. I took another test the next day and it was the same. That was about 8 months ago. I am due in 3 weeks, So I would say that you are probably pregnant. Go get a test done at your Dr. office. Those tests are more accurate. Good luck!!

I hope you are pregnant! Usually even a faint line means pregnant because a certain hormone has to be present in order for it to show up. You could be VERY early. Take another one with your 1st morning wee in about 3-4 days (i was going to say a week, but i wouldn't be able to wait that long either!) or wait until your period is due whichever comes first. Good luck, fingers crossed!

you can only depend on a positive result if you read the test within a certain amount of time. even a negative test will develop that second line if you wait too long. its called an evaporation line. you need to retest and read the results within the 5 minutes. dont ever "wait 24 hours" and read the same test again. the instructions in the box also explain this.

You never see a false positive. Now if he looked at the test after 10 min then it could be wrong. I would take another test tomorrow or just go with what your husband saw. Call your Obgyn and get an appt set up. Congrats and Good luck

Wait 24 hours. It might come in clearer. I took a test and it was negative so I threw it away. The next day when I took out the trash it fell out, and was positive! The line hadn't fully developed yet. So wait it out, and best of luck!

yes ma'am with my first child I had a faint line...it was almost magnifing glass faint. I called my doctor and he told me I was pregnant and that there is NO false postive on a pregnancy test that the pregnancy hormone must be there for the line to show...so congrats!

That happened to me also!!!! Now we have a beautiful 10 month old baby boy. So i didn't get my hopes up i just stopped thinking about it because i really thought it was negative but my fiance thought it was positive. Then when i started feeling sick and getting tired i knew in my heart it must have been positive. Hope it all turns out the way you want it too. Good luck
