their parents who are racist taught them everything... we can't stop people from hating but you can teach and educate them on the truth.

I would have to disagree with anyone who says that racists people were taught from their parents. I will agree that some racists people pick up this up from their parents but I was raised by racists parents and I married a black woman and had three kids with her. Of course my parents disowned me.
I also know other people who are in my situation. I also know people who were raised by decent parents who's circle of friends influenced their way of thinking.

I guess what I am saying is that when you say racism comes from your parents you are in turn saying it's something you cannot escape, and that is not true all racism is a personal choice and that as long as people have free will you will not get rid of it. All we can do as people is live our lives the best we can and try to lead by example and show racist people that this world is so much better when we judge each other on our actions instead of our skin color.

ooo, this is something that really gets under my skin! These racist people are so backwoods and a complete air head... I am sad to say a lot of these people come from the south and it starts at home... They see mom or dad or grandparents treating someone badly and they think it is OK... I wish I knew a way of stopping it without going to jail...
When I look at someone I see male or female, that is IT... I try to love everyone and I don't judge a person because the color of their skin, because I love all people.. They are ALL God's children and they should be treated that way...

Unfortunately, since I'm not racist, I do not know. But we CAN stop it by showing tolerance. Being a half-breed, half mongolian, half malaysian, and growing up in upstate new york, I've experienced all kinds of insults and racist slurs from everyone - whites, asians, blacks, latinos.

I just dismissed them and not even cared. I think that's the best way. To just say, "meh. you think what you want to think."

Why are people so racist? I have absolutely no idea.
How do they get that way? They choose to be that way I'm afraid.
How can we stop it? We can't, we just have to get on with it and let them know that its NOT OK to make jokes about peoples skin colour or pick on them or be violent towards them.

Easy to say. Hard to do. Get rid of the Color Barrier and just treat people like people. But your people like the KKK, are just ignorant of the fact that they are in the Minority. And are angry for no reason. And don't forget Reverse racism. That happens a lot in the South.

race is something that will probably never get stopped. I think we should start with grown people. NEVER teach or say certain things around the kids. But that goes for all sides of the road.
