Total darkness with the exception of what light might get through the curtains. Also there is a night light in the bathroom so I don't P on the bowl or out of the bowl.

Usually in between. Total darkness, but I can't help the apartment light outside seeping through the window even with the shades drawn. Either way is okay though. Total darkness or a little light. One should help you go to sleep, one should help you find the toilet in the middle of the night.

I keep a light on in the hallway---1) so my son (12) can see get to the bathroom at night, 2) so that I can see to get to my other son(10 mo) in the middle of the night and 3) so my hubby doesn't stub a toe on the metal furnace grate in the floor in the hallway---don't need him waking the whole house up!!!

Total darkness.
Instead of light I need music.
Can't quite go to sleep without hearing music lol.
There's always a playlist of about an hour on my Winamp or the radio's on.

I need a little night light. I need to see where I'm going if I have to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Plus, I get a little scared at night sometimes.
