If there is no Creator, then the question is meaningless. Every one is going to give you their personal recipe to get some temporary good feeling. Try something and see if it makes you happy. Keep busy and avoid thinking about purpose and meaning. Good feelings and busyness are the keys to self deception.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell

But if there is a Creator, that changes everything. I prefer to seek God even though I don't know for sure that He even exists. It's better than a life without real meaning.

This question is right up there with "what is true love?" Life is a cycle, as we all know. It is the essence of the beginning of eternal life. One guy said it right, without Jesus as your Lord and Savior, there is nothing after life. except darkness. I know that sounds weird to you, but before I accepted Jesus, my life was big jumble of everything thrown together. We were put here to make a difference. the difference is up to you. Our childhood is a big learning experience of what's to come as an adult. Every day, we learn something new about ourselves, our friends and family until we die. We all came into this world the same way, and we will all go out in death. Life cannot be repeated. there is no reincarnation so you have to make the best of the life you have now. As an adult, you have children and it's up to you to raise those children with good morals. Life is love,/ happiness, sadness joy/ disappointments, new life/ death. Life isn't just making yourself happy, but those who surround you as well. You don't have to win the Nobel prize to do some good in this world. You can spread the love of life just by being a great friend, father, husband etc. The people you touch just by one kind act can make a great differrence in their lives. If you do something small for a homeless person, it makes that person so happy even though you think it wasn't much. that person spreads the word to others and tells them about this kind man that did something for them and before you know it. you have touched many lives with just one kind act. There's an old saying about doing something for one who is unfortunate and you help that person. It says, "You may be in the company of angels." It only means that an angel may be disguised as someone else and God wants to see how you treat this person. Does that make sense to you? Right now my life & my husband too, is spreading the word of God through music. God has a plan for everyone and each plan is different, You have to find that plan and make your life what God expects of you.
For all of those who give a thumbs down on my answer, you are the loser, not me. God bless you in your quest on finding your true meaning of life.

Good question. Well you wake up in the morning, you go to school or work, you come home, you go to sleep and life repeats itself again the next day. Before you know it, it is your birthday again. 30 years ago, you have the simplest computer technology. Today the technology can do many things. After another 30 years, who knows what more it can do. Yesterday, we were kids. Today we are adults. Tomorrow we will become old. What have we done which we are proud of ?

There is no such answer the meaning of life is personal achievement whether it is to climb mt. Everest or just to become a world championship ping-pong player but to ask the question "what is the meaning of life" is just not worth it because the answer is different for every single person in the whole universe.

Two choices for me, and I'm still debating about it.

#1) Jehovah. That the Bible God really exists. He told us to first find his kingdom and all other things in this life will be added to us. You put all your trust if Jehovah God and he will guide your life. To me, if you believe in God there is only one group of people that real worship the true creator, if there is one. They are the Jehovah's Witnesses. To some this is the ultimate meaning of life.

#2) That we are here by evolution or by the creation of an intelligent universe. Visit this website: http://www.thesecret.tv/

Bottom line.... the purpose of life is HAPPINESS! FEELING GOOD! AND LOVING LIFE!.

Good luck in your search! and choose wisely.

umm ok.. my answer is kinda awkward so please dont make fun of it. i think the meaning of life is to be a spectator. we are all part of a big show and in order for this show to be complete, it needs everyone in it. what we see from day to day will only be part of the show. over time the show continues as future generations take over for us after we're dead just as we have taken over of our ancestors view. it will all be over when the world ends. thats the grand finale.
