No matter how much some people might annoy you on the other end of the phone, unless you wish to get fired then it's a case of grinning and bearing it!
I think everyone has been frustrated with someone on the other end of the phone at some point - all you can do is stay polite and calm and maybe get some "stress balls" to squeeze to take out your frustration on - imagining it was the other person lol

I hear what you are saying, I used to be a telephonist for British Railways! The person on the end of the phone is the faceless first point of the company. You do certainly take the knee jerk reactions of people rage. I guess I have been guilty of it myself somewhere in the past. Secret to this is to ALWAYS smile, your voice comes over better, and its good for your facial muscles, you can always give them the birdy, it hurst no one, but makes you feel better. And hey you get paid for it, so .... Remember keep smiling!

i guess you just grin and bare it, ppl are to rushed these days, i do admit, i also sometimes am crabby when i have to deal with ppl over the phone, trying to get info, paying bills, etc. because you are always swithed to other ppl and have to tell who or what u want all over again, this tends to make ppl real crabby! noone seems to know there job very well,

I have to grin and bear it too. Maybe they hate being at work as well but they don't hide it as well as us proffesional types!
