On my 1998 BMW M3 evolution coupe (e36) all of the indicators, (left, right & hazards) have stopped working

Looked at the fuse box & pulled out what I think is known as the flasher unit, and put it back in, they then started working again for a day, then this morning they have stopped working again......

Anyone with expertise in this area suggest if this is the cause (new flasher unit needed) or help in any way

thanks in advance

First thing to do is check the connections are clean.
Removing and refitting unit a few times may scrape off any dirt.Contact cleaner or very careful use of
WD 40 or similar will help.
If this fails check you have feed to flasher unit using multimeter or a test light.
If feed is OK it looks like a new unit is needed.

Things like this used to be common on all cars, but with modern units it has become much rarer.

Good luck
