that the government is going to build a 100 Million pound Mosque to replace the 2012 Olimpic village. Can't wait to tell you the truth. Does anyone else share my enthusiasm?

I'm not from any other Universe, was born in the UK. Now live in KSA. But visit London regularly. I think 100M is a small price to pay for such a building.

Damn! What a waste of money!! OK, so I have nothing against a mosque being built, but that sum of money is just too much. 7 million, I think, should be the limit (which is still a lot of money). Could the money not be used to build, like, a school or something useful to everyone? Or is this the govt's method of pleasing the minority of this country (perhaps to stop terrorism)?

Can't say I share your enthusiasm, as I'm not of that religion... But I do wonder why they're building such a large and expensive building which only a small percentage of people can use...?

I did hear the a 40,000 capacity Mosque is going to be built but sorry I can't share your enthusiasm, would rather the money be spent on a school or hospital.

Well it's in early stages, but plans are in place - but there is a huge petition against it - here's the link:

Are you deliberately trying to stir things up? Your other question (http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqG_9d8SipfjtWzLeacOywY2CAx.?qid=20070716024947AAjzQDJ) is just as incisive, and designed to promote racial hatred - why are you doing this?
