I know some poor fools think it effeminate for a man to use an umbrella, but I am secure enough as a man to disregard this, I use a umbrella when it rains, it's big enough for two to shelter under. Just one small point, would you wind your car window down in the rain to let the rain in? That would be silly, keeping dry makes sense, anything else is simply vanity and of no worth.

No. Why would i think that? Men, like women, can fall sick if soaked in the rain for too long. I would insist my bf to bring an umbrella with him if it is raining. Whatever ppl think about him carrying an umbrella is not my business - and they are just being busy-body if they do say anything. I just don't want my loved one to fall sick.

I do. I use a childs panda umbrella because it folds down small enough to fit in the side pocket of my bag. I get a few laughs when it rains but what the hell. I'm staying dry not making a fashion statement.

Didn't you know that those long pointed black umbrellas, as carried by British businessmen in pin-striped suits, are considered the epitome of elegance and masculinity all over the world?
Umbrellas look better than raincoats any day.
