I'd be devastated. I'd cry an ocean of tears.

ouch, I feel for you, I'm sorry. It happens to the best chicks, all because the man freaks out. They need time to grow up at any age or situation. If he did that to you, don't fall back in too easily. He does still love you, so he's still harboring feelings for you, just be careful of his intentions the next time he tries to get you back, it does happen, and just gaurd your heart around him. If he did it once, he'll do it again.. I had it done twice by the same guy, and that was enough. He still loves me, but only for being the mommy to his kids. He got his perspectives straight, and I got my life straightened out.
There's other guys out there, you just gotta try after a month or so. You don't have to settle for the first guy that stops to fix your flat, there's plenty of flat tires in the future. Until then, carry a small smooth stone in your pocket to symbolize him, and when you're done looking for and carring around a rock, chuck it. If it makes you cry to chuck it, you can alwaays pick it back up, but you need to chuck it eventually. And you will. LIFE GOES ON

Be thankful that he told you now instead of you finding out later. For me, I was with my husband for 8 years before we got married... and was only married for 1.5 years. We have a 7 year old daughter. He had the nerve to tell me that he didn't stay with me just because we had a kid...but he stayed because he felt this "bond" with me because he experienced the birth of our child. This is a bullshit, cop out excuse. The bottom line is, I found out after almost 10 years that all the while he loved me "because of his own twisted reasons", but was not "in love" with me as I had been with him for the past 10 years. Although it may hurt this too shall pass, be thankful he was honest enough to let you know. Although it may seem like it right now, he's not the last man in the world. Have you considered that maybe he is not the one you are suppose to be with...that maybe God is moving him out of the way to prepare you for what's yet to come. God will send your husband to you...you won't have to chase after him. If you've found that throughout your relationship with him that you've been the one "chasing" after him, whether it be going out of your way to fix things in your relationship o rjust trying hard to show him how you feel, but still didn't get that same kind of reciprocation, then he's not the one for you.

I would cry my eyes out and then see if there was anything i could do to be perfect for him. I can't imagine my life without him. So i could never get mad or push him away. At the least i would want him as a friend. Good luck.
