and toss & turn to come up with a jeering question they can post even before they brush their teeth?

Eden, if that was the case, don't you think there'd be lots of questions by those who don't vilify the McCanns? As it is, we just answer the vitrolic questions to try & keep the spite down. We don't worhip them Eden, we just don't believe in witchhunts.
Look, that dig about them being Godparents really got to me...How is it even relevant?

Some of them do Faith.

I'm sure some of them must do. There is the obsessive studying of the blog, the effort that must go into coming up with 642 slightly different ways of asking the same question, the scouring of news sites and other bulletin boards for "facts" about the situation...

You are also right when you point out that it is the McCann bashers doing the majority of the asking. Like you, I feel a certain obligation to try to balance the venom with something that comes from a kinder, slightly more rational place.

I don't know the McCanns (despite apparently arousing suspicions that I might be Philomena McCann incognito) and I have no idea whether I would particularly like them or not. Quite possibly I wouldn't. But that's not the point. It's not my job to judge them nor is it the job of anyone whose sole qualification to do so is reading news reports or other bulletin boards.

If they have done wrong then I have faith that they will pay at least whatever penance is appropriate (and perhaps, sadly, much, much more).

I reckon all they care about is Maddie being located and the whole facial incident being investigated by separate agencies ....

In fairness Gerry does himself no favours do he?

I am not obsessed in bashing team mccann ... i am concerned at the lack of constructive plans or activities in finding Maddie and the fact that the so called services there to protect defenseless children from abusive parents are sitting on the fence

It's scary this obsession with them. I think your previous mention of a witchhunt is spot on, I have said that before. I think its a combination of ignorance and 'you may be a dr but morally we are better than you' syndrome

I wonder, too. I don't understand why it is such a personal issue.
Don't we employ people, like the police and social services, to keep on eye on people who neglect their children? Instead, some take it upon themselves, from a morally superior viewpoint, to try and sway public opinion.

yes I'm sure they must, just as those that worship them dream of strolling along the Algarve with them, flip flops in hand laughing merrily at all Mr McCann's little jokes, before going off to wine and dine with them into the wee small hours
