I refuse to listen to Evanescence, so obviously I'm not a fan of Amy Lee (bleh). Lacuna Coil, on the other hand, is okay. I'm really not that big of a fan of them (some of their earlier stuff had lyrics that just sounded cliche... something quite prevalent in the music industry), but I do like select songs by them. Evanescence just irritates me. The fact that they've been labeled a Christian band (even if they deny it) is a total turn-off to me. Plus, their lyrics don't hold depth. They basically shoot for the "pretty, flowy" words and phrases along the lines of "darkness consumes my being" and crap like that. They really can't pull off such meaningless cliches. Not only that, they're too popular and mainstream for me to like them. You'll hear sh*t like "OMG! I totally love Amy Lee! Have you heard their new song on the radio?" from a bunch of raving fangirls (ANNOYING!!!!!). They just don't have the credibility in my estimation. Lacuna Coil, though, is what I consider *decent* Goth rock. Christina's voice has a more mature sound (even if some of her lyrics are just as shallow), so if I HAD to choose one of the two, I'd choose Christina...

yes they both rock but Christina Scabbia looks better.Agree with u 100%
edit:I like amy's vocal better but in the looks department Christina Scabbia looks better
