I am just SICK of these realtors?

So I had a bad experience with my last realtor who was always trying to up the price of what I could afford and it would "just be 40 dollars more to live in a place that you really want".

So I complain about it to my friend who recently got his licence and I told him I got a new realtor. Then that friend is all of a sudden looking for a home for me, and has found the "PERFECT" home he says, and he seen it, and it is "JUST RIGHT FOR ME" and he knows the guy trying to sell it and he is a "GREAT GUY"

I am sick of realtors. After all that both of these guys don't have a clue. I am sick of re-explaining what I want in a home.

Just because I am a young woman, and a first time home buyer does not make me dumb. HELL NO i am not paying 210,000 to live in the ghetto!!!!

Not all realtors are bad...I know this may sound funny, but try using a female realtor who is single..call around and ask women who are single, really do tend to look out for other single women....If you live in Phoenix Az..email me I will refer an awesome realtor to you...no its not me =) Good luck you will find the right home!!

I agree, we went through this when we were 1st time buyers. Your best bet is to look online or in the paper and decide if you want to see the home then worry about a realtor. Also look for a realtor that you do not know and someone who is down to earth. We found a lady who is practical and actually bogarted the homeowners so we could make the deal possible. But really you can set up a viewing of the home with the listing agent. BUTTTTT do not sign anything, the realtor can lock you into business with them for up to 1 year long. Best of Luck and dont be afraid to tell the realtors to Piss off!

You really don't need a dumb Realtor. I assure you that when buying you can make a much better deal working by yourself and gain some immediate equity. A Reatlor isn't concerned about your accomplishing this, but rather believes that you should make a "fair offer."

Remember that typically, the Realtor works for the SELLER and while pretending to be polite, does not have your interest at heart. The more knowledgeable you are, the more he will try to protect the seller from the likes of you, while feeling great that he's doing his job.

It's better to avoid them and learn to investor buying strategies, complete with BUYER FRIENDLY CONTRACTS that Realtors don't use. You are in a strong position if you're knowledgable and don't use Realtors.

Lose those guys and find a different realtor, or just start looking for yourself. Be sure to have the home that you want to buy inspected by a qualified licensed building inspector before you commit to buying it.
