no pap normally is a screen for pre-cancer indicators while pid is the result of neglected infection such as chlamydia or gonorrhea infections, two different things altogether, however the sample can be used for other purpose but not the rule of thumb!

"....Your doctor can only diagnose PID by doing a pelvic exam, and swabbing the area and having the sample tested. The sooner you see your family doctor, the better. Waiting even 1 or 2 days can allow the infection to spread and cause more pain and damage."

no not unless you tell them you think for some reason you have that problem then they can check for infection
