i reattached it but now i dont know if i should drink from it?

Well im A plumber so here is your answer.
Its fine to drink...
The green (mold and its no mold) is just the water and the metal connecting. Just like a copper roof over time it will trun green.
For the most part if your on city water your fine. Well water can be different though.
I would explain how the clean the water that comes into your house but most people freak out...
But real quick when you flush your toilet or sink the water goes to the treatment plant gets cleaned Not 100% though.
but with mother nature and other stuff it helps to clean it more. But then they put stuff back in the water when it goes to your house.
Even in some citys belive it or not. When a person dies the blood goes down the drain. I Know this sounds bad but its the truth. Although this is not in evey city or state. Best to call your local water dept and have them send you the info on there cleaning procudere (Its free)
Even the water you buy at a store not all but some say spring water and its really not.. ( I know i have done background checks on these kinda things. I Have been in the field for 20yrs plus.

Yes, this happens often when you don't clean around it good. The water should be O.K. it's just a collection of natural chemicals found in all waters that sit, like a "patina" without cleaning. It's a build up.
Before you put the handle back clean it all out with cleanser and when you do dishes clean around these faucets.

i think you must ask a plumber first to fix the faucet. Change the parts that are used for long years. After that, please use a clean white clothe or unused stocking to filter the water coming out of the faucet. Observe. If the cloth became very dirty in just one day, then discontinue drinking the water from your faucet.

It's probably not mold. It's probably oxidation on copper pipe. Take a water sample to your local health department. They'll test it and tell you if it is or is not safe to drink.

To be safe you should clean it out with clorox or some strong cleaner, then let the water run for a little while.
