Yea, let's save American jobs by getting everyone at Wal-Mart fired. Let's put the squeeze on the poorest of Americans and immigrants who depend on low cost items to help stretch their earnings. This will really show Wal-Mart we mean business!

I am glad to know that other people feel the way that I do. I have not spent a penny in Wal-Mart in a year. The recalls were not the main reason. I was promoting The University of North Alabama/George Lindsey Film Festival and was hanging up posters. The General Manager of Wal Mart in the town where the University is located said I could not hang up posters. When I asked her why, she said and I quote "Wal Mart does NOT sponsor or promote local school events". Have you ever heard anything like that? I mean they come into a town, put Mom and Pop businesses into bankruptcy and promote themselves as being a hometown store. Then they refuse to promote local school events. The same schools that support them. I wish they would close every Wal-Mart in the world. I have family members who lost their jobs at Wal-Mart after ten or more years because Wal-Mart replaced them with lower-waged personnel. Wal-Mart should be ashamed, but they are only greedy.
Another thing that makes me mad is they won't carry anything that is Gay/Lesbian related. They won't carry magazines like XY, Gay Times or Genre. They consider themselves to be Christian-based. Yeah, money based.
One last thing that Wal-Mart does that should be brought to the world's attention is that they purchase merchandise from companies throughout the world that utilizes child labor and slavery. They don't care who is hurt as long as they get it at the cheapest price. What about that phase that they went through where they were placing "Made in America" stickers on foreign made merchandise?
I will never give another penny to Wal-Mart again. Boycott! Boycott! Boycott! Put on a happy face, my a**!

I avoid Wal-Mart at all costs because:
1) They have destroyed small-town America by undercutting all small businesses and then turning them into their subsistence wage slaves
2) They are the number one trading partner of China, the world's largest amoral capitalist/slave labor country.
3) They won't sell the "morning after" pill
4) They try and bust unions
5) Their stuff is actually overpriced & their stores are a mess
6) The Walton family have done less to help charities than any other family with the obscene amount of money they make
In other words, I'm down.

WalMart is great. I have worked at Burger King, Sears, Safeway, and now at WalMart, and WalMart pays me the most, gives me the best benefits, is the most friendly, and I wouldn't trade any other job for it (except for a History professor at college which is my long-term goal.... But seeing how great WalMart is now I wouldn't mind making a career out of it. They are good people)
Its funny, I worked at Safeway and their Union was very much anti-WalMart. They even had slogans "WalMart: Always Low Wages, Always". My starting pay at WalMart was higher than at Safeway, WalMart gives me better benefits than Safeway, and the Union didn't do a dang thing for me at Safeway they only collected their Union bribes and did nothing to provide job security.
