If it's the lid on a jar - I tap it on the floor a few times and it opens. Sometimes I have to use the special jar opener cuz I have arthritis in my hand.

LID off what.catsup peanut butteretc.run under warm water.tap lid a bit .If you have a thin piece of rubber a bit larger then lid try putting it over lid and turn this will give you better grip

Tap around the edge of the lid with a spoon end and then try to open.

Take a regular knife thet you eat with. A sturdy one. Hold it upside -down and and bang the lid around in a circle. That should loosen it. Bang it hard. Good luck!! :)

I use a rubber gripper pad. They sell them at walmart in 3 packs for a real cheap price.
