You have to have intercourse when you are ovulating. You should track your cycle. Ovulation in most women occurs 14 days after the first day of menstruation. There are ovulation tests you can buy at any drug store to show when you are or will ovulate. You can't get pregnant every day of the month. If you are ovulating, the fertilized egg will implant in 6 to 10 days.

Fertilization usually occurs 1-3 day after intercourse (thats why 3 days is the time limit for Plan B). Then usually implantation occurs 5-7 days after fertilization. So your body realizes you're pregnant 6-10 days after sex, on average, and it will show up on a test about 9-19 days after sex, depending on the test and your body.

if you're pregnant, you're pregnant after intercourse. The "days" part depends on which product you choose to buy to tell you if you are or not.
