It really all depends on whos using them. For example we could use this for religion or other groups and would be bad.

Both are correctly said, but one must not sit with on sayings only. Avoiding to be hurt would cease one to gain knowledge and further abiding with little knowledge would always keep you in danger, hence one must keep on acquiring more & more knowledges to come out of danger and at the the same time utilise the same in furtherance of humanity.
It must be clear that though both the sayings are correct yet I would simply egnore these and move to act positively.

Definitely b. I've seen that one put into action in the political arena lately. As for choice a, it turns out for me to be completely untrue. I didn't know I had a degenerative disorder, and it has hurt me.

they both suck.
being hurt is just a fact of life
u cant protect urself from it through either ignorence or preparation. ur gonna get hurt in life, no matter what. dont fight it. just let it happen

Don't care for either, because I believe in being proavtive, and beginning with the end in mind.

Perhaps the people who are choosing (a) have never had their significant other cheat on them. Or have not studied politics.

From my point of view, (b) is more accurate.
