Don't worry about that . Just de-butter the said knife by using washing liquid and you will not be prosecuted.

If by that you mean, "Will I put you in cuffs and force you to lick the mayonnaise off the butter knife?" the answer is yes.

I think punishment varies, from state to state, on fraudulent misuse of butter knives? Check your local ordinances or contact law enforcement....but do it only anonymously from a pay phone...more difficult to trace.
Why you'd admit such a thing, in such a public forum, is beyond me?
