we are in this world to play our role and fufill our responsibilities, and also to help others if they are doing the right thing for themselves or for the society. Helping others give a self fulfillment feeling which no other work can give.

Sorry I don't share your opinion.
Unfortuatley this is not a fair world that we live in. Not all people are equal, and do not share in the same opportunities and privilages, through no fault of their own. For many even the most basic of rights (clean water, sanitation, food, education) are beyond their reach, every day is a struggle just to stay alive. How do these people help theselves, to get out of this cycle?
Every body needs a little help every now and then, whether that be from family, friends, or even a kind hearted stranger.
Give a little of yourself for nothing - the rewards will far outweigh any cost .

Because you should love your neighbour as much as yourself. This means you should help those people you come accross in everyday life because it is the right thing to do. And one day, when you need help, someone may come along and help you.

Because helping yourself instead of others is what's destroying our country and many others. Humans are supposed to be naturally social creatures and yet this attitude makes them selfish, uncaring and isolated.

Plenty of people make jobs for themselves "helping people"....But what goes around comes around,how you treat and interact with others will define your personality and life..
