If you were in a position to enact laws, what kind of social engineering might you undertake? Why?

How can the law be used? By making certain activities legal or illegal, you can control behavior. Control behavior long enough and it becomes a cultural standard, even if the law later changes.

I personally don't believe in controlling the behavior of others. So I personally would oppose (vehemently) any attempt to use the law for social engineering purposes. That's one reason I became an attorney in the first place.

It would be legal to hunt "mikesdaman71". . .

Seriously, I would enact a law forbidding the Federal government to engage in "social engineering" of any type. The governmental approach to problems is a "one size fits all" mentality, that simply does not work. All that governmental social engineering does is make a simple problem more complex.

I would simply make avalable to everyone who was physically able, to attend higher education classes of their choice.
I would recycle used computers into the homes of people who can't afford new ones, and I would make heathcare and dental care affordable for all.
