No, I like my name. It's original and I've never met another person with it. There are a few people in history with it.

Between the ages of five and eight, I was constantly P.O.'d over the fact that my parents hadn't named me John. Don't ask me why. So anyways, one day I bought a three-inch tall, orange, inflatable thing from a vending machine for a quarter. It had an angry-looking hockey player painted on one side, and I named him John. For well over a year, I took John everywhere, talked to John, INSISTED that my mother set a place at the table for John.
I don't know what the point of this story is, but I no longer wish to be called John.

Yeah, I always thought my first name sucked. My mom wanted to name me Athena, but my dad shot that down. Ah well, it's probably for the better—if they'd gone with Athena, my initials would be A-B. Given that I'm from St. Louis, the Anheuser-Busch capital of the world, that wouldn't have worked out so well.
When my brother was a baby, though, he used to call me Mauna—that's much better than my actual name.
Oh, but yeah—I wanted to be named Teresa when I was a kid.

Well, ever since I found out my 2 sisters named me... Nope! I will stick with my name. We are the R sister's... if we use are full name... which I'd have to say I don't like using that often... I'd rather use the "shorter" version.

Only when my nephew was just learning to talk and my name was about the only thing he could say... imagine having your name yelled out about 100 times an hour for a week.

When I was in high school and all the girls, or at least a large proportion, were named Sue, Susie, Susan or Suzanne.
