Any lover of art/indie cinema surely owns a few titles in the Criterion Collection. If you're like me you have the complete set and rush out each month to obsessively purchase the newest releases...I don't expect the majority of people to have such a graphic disorder when it comes to a DVD collection, but I was just curious which titles you might own yourselves.

Do you not just love run-on sentences?

Love,
Snag

Hey, Snag--
While I haven't gone obsessive over them, I do have a couple of shelves of Criterion releases:
Amarcord
Black Narcissus
Black Orpheus
A Canterbury Tale
Children of Paradise
The Devil and Daniel Webster
8 1/2
Eyes Without a Face
Fanny and Alexander (the complete edition)
49th Parallel
Grand Illusion
Great Expectations
Green For Danger
The Horse's Mouth
Ikiru
I Know Wher I'm Going
The Importance of Being Earnest
Juliet of the Spirits
King of Kings
Koko
Kwaidan
The Last Temptation of Christ
The Last Wave
The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
M. Hulot's Holiday
Mon Oncle
The Magic Flute
Monterey Pop
A Night to Remember
Notorious
Oliver Twist
Pickup on South Street
Richard III
Seven Samurai
The Seventh Seal
Sullivan's Travels
The Third Man
The 39 Steps
Unfaithfully Yours
Walkabout

...so far....

I'm still waiting for A Matter of Life and Death in a Criterion edition...(Up the Archers!)

I'm curious how you might consider your collecting habits a graphic disorder....a case of compulsive classicism, perhaps might be the more accurate description, no?

Platonic regards,
Palmer

1. The Darjeeling Limited (Wes Anderson) 2. The Last Temptation of Christ (Martin Scorsese) 3. 8½ (Federico Fellini) 4. Mona Lisa (Neil Jordan) 5. Picnic at Hanging Rock (Peter Weir) That is very difficult, and it is more of a favorites list than anything.
