No. I think we each have to experience love from someone else before we can love ourselves. It doesn't have to be romantic love- it could easily be the love from family or friends. People who are never loved do not learn to love themselves.


I'd define self love as more of self acceptance. I don't think it's the last thing we experience, either. I think it happens along the way and allows us to love and accept the world along with loving and accepting individuals who are close to us.

Our last love is our love for the "oneness" that we all share.

Actually I think our first real "love" is for our mother and/or father. I don't think as an infant we have the capability of self-love, just self-preservation.

Okay since you put it that way yes! but it depends on who or what you love first. It could be inanimate objects for all we know. Like music. Anyway, its always good to love yourself first then somebody would love you.

yes...you can't fully love others and expect love in return if you don't love yourself...those who can't see their own good qualities can't expect others to see them and only you know yourself better than anyone
