The government limited outsourcing of jobs and created a program that gets unemployed Amercians a job (like a compiled list of unemployed and their skills/degree that all businesses would recieve).

Would this be good or bad?

It would make goods and services here more expensive, as goods that were made for $2 an hour in China, are made for $20 an hour in the USA.

The difference will come out of consumer pockets. It will result in consumers getting less for their money.

Outsourcing is not 100% negative. For every benefit, there is a tradeoff.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

The thing is, our government's highest priority is corporate profits, not full employment or the standard of living of working people. Conservatives believe that if corporations make good profits, everyone will do better. Of course this means that we export as many jobs as possible overseas, and also that we maintain at least 5% unemployment to keep wages down.

There's an old joke about a guy who goes to a car dealership to look at an economy car. The salesman shows him this tiny car with no features. The guy looks at the window sticker and says 'Wow, this costs as much as a big car! And it doesn't get any better gas mileage either!' The salesman says 'Well, if you want economy, you have to pay for it!'

Well that's how it is with our economy. If you want prosperity, then about 95% of us have to be poorer to pay for it!
