I saw my own heart. I had open heart surgery done and I told them to video tape it and it was awsome dude!!! Well, one thing is, the human brain can go up to thirteen seconds in similar conditions. If you didn't pass out first.

Im not a Dr but I would think within 30 seconds to a minute that blood would start to clot, without something pumping it through your systems, which would cause all sorts of problems, and if you didn't have any type of pain killer or something you would be in A LOT of pain or passed out. So I say that scene was unbelievable

Apparently, yes. I had a huge argument with my boyfriend because I thought the same thing, that you'd die instantly or pass out. But, he explained that the blood would still be pumping it's last round of blood to the brain and you could still be conscious.

Yes. What kills you is lack of oxygen to your brain, and even if your heart stops (or is removed) your brain contains enough oxygen to keep you consious for up to maybe 2-4 minutes, depending on your overall health and if you hyperventilated.

If your heart were rapidly removed from your chest, you would have a few seconds of consciousness in which you could look at it.
However, the sudden, drastic drop in blood pressure would cause you to lose consciousness very rapidly. Obviously death would shortly follow.

It might be possible. Depending on your state of mind and if you were under the influences of a drug. After all, men have seen their own intestines when their abdomen are ripped open.

yeah no, once your heart is out of your chest you're dead. Unless they put it back in surgically, if its a healthy heart and the patient is healthy and is able to get oxygen.

it would have to be done really quickly... because the brain and otherorgans would shut off without oxygen... but i bet it would be possible.
