I was having this conversation yesterday with a couple of friends and this topic came out:

1- If a man who is in a relationship kisses another female thats not cheating but a mistake that he should be forgiven

2- If a woman is in a relationshio and kisses another male thats Cheating and she should not be forgiven and she is a liar.

Now please could you tell me what do you think of the above, and if you were in the same situation, what would you do??

would you consider it cheating both ways or not??

I take it you aren't referring to a friendly little kiss on the cheek here !

Well, if that is correct it is compromising at best & bordering on cheating at worst ! If we are talking a passionate , no hold barred kiss , well HELLO , things are more than just friendly here & are likely to progress , if you get my drift ! Either way , no difference !

Put it this way , if my wife found out about it there would be no time for explanations ! I would end up as hamburger meat !

Two wrongs don't make a right. If someone is exclusive with another, they shouldn't be kissing other people, period. What you've mentioned above is a double standard. Why men can't be held to the same expectations of chastity or fidelity is puzzling to me. If they have evolved from the caveman period, should they have better control over their hands, mouth and trousers? Hmm, well, what about it fellas?

What you are talking about is a double standard. Yes, it is wrong to think about it in the way that you portrayed it. My guess is that it varies from place to place depending on where you are in the world. I would consider it cheating on either account. The only way that I can think to solve this double standard is for women to take a stand. Women need to quit offering forgiveness and take a stand. The time of women being submissive in many places has gone by the wayside. I hope this is true where you are.

it,s both big cheating , and if it,s really happened that means there is no good relationship , there is something look likes joking each other , and the basic line you talk about are the basic third world deal with ( men got the right to do every thing , woman got no right to do things before taken permission

I think men generally flex their muscles so they can call it their way. I woulnt say this is 100 % true in your Q. More men maybe and I think the women although a smaller proportion are also guilty of thinking that the men are the cheaters. I would try to assess the situation from a neutral point, which I acknowledge is hard if one is a party to the isssue.

In my opinion, both ways of thinking are wrong. If a man kisses another woman, it could harm the trust in the relationship. Same with a woman kissing another man.

of course it is, but if you are unfortunate enough to be in a sexist and hierarchical culture where men think they can do what they like while women have to be restricted in every sphere of activity that is your bad luck. If you are really lucky your culure will slowly change - this will take about 500 years as it did in the west.
