By Howie Klein, "Down With Tyranny!"
North Carolina Rep. David Almond resigned almost as soon as word of his inappropriate behavior came out. The North Carolina House Republicans are trying to keep his transgression a secret.
An insurance agent, Almond was serving his second term in the House. Sources say he exposed himself in front of a female employee and chased her around the room yelling "Suck it, baby, suck it." It is unclear whether or not there was physical contact. She filed a personnel complaint.
In a one-sentence letter to House Speaker Joe Hackney, the two-term Republican lawmaker from Stanly County immediately resigned his seat representing the 67th House District.

I don't see anything about protection in this... Maybe I missed something but I think I have pretty good reading comprehension.
Looks like to me a pervert had a job, he sexually harassed someone, and then he lost his job. End of story.
Not being a Democrate or a Republican I don't see how this hurts or supports either cause.

And yet, the lefties had no problem when Governor Clinton had Arkansas state troopers bring a female state employee up to his hotel room, where he drunkenly dropped his trousers and told her to "kiss it".
Personally, I think both are just as wrong and both should have resigned immediately. But people like you think that only the Republican should resign, no?

hmmm....you really have a thing for perverts and tracking them down don't you. how about pointing out all the democrat pervs, then the independents, next go to the christian then the atheists. pervs come in all shapes and sizes, all nationalities, all races, all political parites, all genders, all ages. just because you hate rep's doesn't mean you should avoid the truth, try being a little less judgmental.

Both parties protect their own... they criticize the other party's individual "unbecoming" behavior while ignoring their own delinquents.
Its the way it has always been and it will never end... this does not become one party's issue.

I don't know why, but none of these acts by anyone should be construed as an excuse to support Democrats.
