Hun, if you HAVE to you have to! She will be fine - just spend as much time as you can with her. Its hard sometimes - but you need to financially provide for her too.

Most daycare are so expensive be sure whatever job you get you make enough to cover your expenses. Or find a job that has daycare included. Or find a way to work out of your home. Sometimes you can find someone who is willing to swap watching kids if you work different schedules. Sometimes churches have daycare during the week that is cheaper or free during the week for working mothers. Just check out all your options you do not have to feel pigeon holed into paying for an expensive day care where you do not trust the people taking care of your kids. Do not feel bad if you are not able to stay home you have to do what you have to do, but just look at all your options because you may not have to sacrifice your time with your daughter at all.

A lot of babies are in daycare at 1 month - 1 1/2 months old. Its fine ! Just get a good daycare. Its better to put your child in daycare then to struggle with its daily needs due to lack of money.

Yes it's perfectly fine to put her in daycare at 3 months of age, actually it's quite normal for moms to head back to work at 6 weeks of age and have their baby in full time daycare. My son is in daycare and he really likes it there. There's so many fun things for the babies to do there, or look at, just watching the other babies they learn from them, and learn social skills. And there are so many more and different toys there than he has at home. We call it school and not daycare. It's perfectly normal to have reservations about leaving your baby all day and returning back to work. Don't feel bad about going back to work. Having an income and the health insurance that goes along with being employed is not up for debating for some, and you shouldn't feel bad about that. As for the person that said to go on wellfare and food stamps, that must be some of the worst advise I have ever read on here. You are not a bad mom for going to work, you're a very good mom for being concerned about your baby. As she gets older she will look forward to going to daycare because she'll have friends there and it's a lot of fun. And transitioning to kindergarden will be alot easier for her.

no you are not wrong. most families these days cannot get along well without both parents working. you are not a bad parent for putting your child in daycare. you have to do what is best for your family. my daughter is about 7 months old and she will have to start daycare soon if i find a job. i dont have any family who doesnt work and would be willing to watch her during the day. we cannot survive on only my husband's paycheck. be sure to do very in-depth research on where to place her. talk to other parents and go into the daycare center unannounced to really see how things are run.

Yes it's okay. Many mothers have to do it and if you have to then you have to! However there are steps you can take to make sure the provider is qualitified, and that they are a good fit. I highly recommend in home daycare. Regardless of home or center go to plenty of visits at multiple places and then go to at least 3 at the place you think is a good fit. Basically get a feel for "who's out there" and get to know the person you choose.
I wish you luck in finding good quality care!

Yes it is okay. Most daycares take them in as early as 6 weeks. Just remember daycares don't come cheap either so if you are struggling now prepare yourself for the expense of tuition. There is also help out there with childcare expenses so look that up in your area.

I'm a day care provider and a mom of 3 young children myself. While I understand your concern, it's perfectly safe provided you take the time to find a provider that you are confortable with. Ask questions and NEVER be afraid to speak your mind. Voice concerns and ask questions at any time. We providers do not take our job's lightly. (at least not the good ones) I urge you to look around. Don't choose one out of convienience or price. Look for someone who is going to love your child as their own while she is with them. Also a good idea would be to choose your provider ahead of time and start her in care before you return to work. Start with a few hours a day a couple days a week. This will ease the transition for you and the baby both. Your Dept of Human Services (child welfare office) will have a list of providers in your area that meet state approval. That would be a good place to start. Best of Luck to ya!

She'll do fine, and so will you. I had to put my youngest in daycare when he was 8 weeks old. He adjusted better than I did!
It'll be hard on you the first few days, but it'll get better.

well its better than not having electricity.....you have to do what you have to do just make sure it is a place you trust i would go to a daycare center that has a few different employees. it is better for her to be able to stay home with you but you have to do what you have to do.

Please try other options. Can you go on welfare? Get food stamps/ help from church food pantries etc?
You might also try some WAH jobs - try www.wahm.com - I know there's one called live ops where you can answer calls from home and its legit.
Could you watch children in your home along with your daughter?
Start a dog sitting business for people on vacation?
Please try every avenue possible before making the daycare decision. Thanks.
