That's a really good question and makes a person ponder because without Love the intimacy would be nothing whatsoever.....it would just be sex....which is nothing without Love. You can have sex with anyone but it's much deeper with someone you love.....and I mean REALLY LOVE. You just have to sit down with yourself and decide whether it's short-term lust or lifelong love.

I've been married twice, 13 years and 10 years. I can't really say that I would have sacrificed my life for either one (you know the old cliche "I'd give my life for the one I love?".) So, I've concluded it was for sex and stability on the first one and strictly sex on the 2nd one....which got boring after 10 years anyway. The only one I really loved I let get away.

Is Love Real? Well.....yes. It's not something that can be touched, like a body but, just like time, we live WITH it, BY it and FOR it.

However, I WOULD give up my life in a NY minute for either one of my children without hesitation.

I definitely believe it is real, but there are different degrees and types of love. For example, the love you feel towards your mom is not the same as what you may feel towards your significant other and so on. Regarding couples, love also changes over time. It may not seem as passionate, but it grows deeper as a couple shares life experiences, grows older, supports each other through difficult and happy times, etc.
