I still cant find a good job, or rent an apartment. how am i supposed to live i was arrested for weed do you think its fare that seven years ago i made a mistake and paid for it but it still runs my life I guess my question is to all you convicted fellons out there where do I go from here how did you find an apartment after you got out of DOC

it was hard but i moved to dif state, i have a felony that 11 years old and im still discriminated against, did my time and my paper time but im still paying for it and always will

Depends on the state. In some states after a period of time you can have the record sealed if you have a clean record after a given period of time.
Check with a lawyer. Call lawyer referral service. That won't cost much (less than $50, probably).

hello wow i can relate to you in 1992 i was caught with some weed coming from jamica did 5 years probation community hrs court ordered to give money to a drug trust fund and it was hard i never been to prison now fast forward did my doc probation so my best freind and her aunt and some more people were going to vote in 2004 i stood in the hot as sun about 5 hours god knows im typing you all the truth i was so impressed with Senator John Kerry i was going to vote for him oh yeah my best freind had a friend in line to vote for Senator John Kerry whom just got out of prison do you know everyone whom was in line with me even the one whom just got out of prison got to cast there vote i was told this i have a felony from 1992 and i can not vote because i am a convicted felon not only was i embrassed because keep in mind i had someone looking me in the eyes whom had not been out of prison 6 months and bragged she been there three times i was compeletly drained so i asked what can i do so that i can vote i live in fl but i didnt let that stop me because my birthdate is nov.06 for the first time in my life i stood up for something real i dont know where you live but hers a fl link where you live if you dont live her find seek and please dont give up becase on may 11 iwent to the post office Florida Board of Executive Clemency had restored my rights as a united states citzien i dont care what you do find out how to apply i had to wait almost 4 yrs jed bush left but i never gave up i was shouting thank you god so loud my husband said whats wrong i told him Governor charlie Crist gave me my life back once you get Clemency jobs and apartments cant hold your crime against you i feel your pain i been there best wishes people tell you a lot of things but had i not stood in line 5 hrs that day i wouldnt be able to tell you this

You made a CHOICE to break the law. Don't blame law abiding citizens for the choices that YOU made for YOUR life. Your screwed yourself. Suck up and deal with the fate YOU handed yourself.

there no way you would pay for it seven years down the track, even murder???

if time served many states dont let this be known you might want to check your state on this matter in my opion?

Felonies are with you for life............ and apt. owners will not rent to Felons, I am an apt. manager, and I have to follow my boss's rules....
