You have complete control within the limits of your universe.
You have no control outside of your own limits.
They are not the same.
The hard part is determining which limits are there because of the universe, and which are there because of you.

See this is a question that will have many answers and at the end what you think it's what really matters to you. No one will be right or wrong because everybody has a different belief. What you think is really all that matters and isn't that is what your asking, unless your just curious to know what other people think about this notion. If that's the case my belief is that we are given a path what we do along that path will have different outcomes and consequences. Thats just my belief.

Not absolute. Control of destiny limits only on how extent we can control our environment since destiny is related on how we adapt & alter our environment to achieve what we want.

People have control over their own actions.
People have no control over others actions.
Any interaction between people causes a myriad of possible circumstances, taking away any chance of pre-ordained destiny.

To some extent, the closer you get to a forward reference in the time the harder it is to change it. Inertia it self starts to play a role when only a moments remain. To change some things you need to start sooner.
But not in the Calvinistic sense, we have free will.

We have purpose.
But what happens in our lives is a result of our personal decisions. We have freewill. We have complete control over our own destinies.

Not sure how I feel about "pre-determined" life, but I do believe that fate plays role. If something is meant to happen, it will--if it's not, it won't.

Free will is an illusion. Every moment is predetermined by the moment before it and so on.
