I have seen plenty of guys with these. I don't think that is necessarily gay. Some may find it interesting and some will find it unattractive. As for your parents, if they need convincing it's probably because they are worried about the proceedure - how safe and how clean is it? If they still won't budge than you will just have to wait until you are of age to get it done without their permission. I wouldn't advise going against their wishes with this either - believe me it's very easy to tell when someone has had it done.

Let me give you a gay perspective on this one.
No, it is NOT gay for you to have a tongue piercing.
Many straight guys that I know have tongue piercing, some even have nipple rings, penis rings, belly button rings and many other things that they want to pierced.
In some cultures around the world, it can be considered as a masculine thing to do.
So, go ahead and get one if you want one, just take care of it, because you don't want to get an infection.
Convincing your parent to let you get one is as easy as asking them. If you ask them nicely, and tell them that it is not something that your friends are doing because it is cool, I'm quite sure that your parents will let you to get one.
Just don't give them bull reasoning.

I had three different women with tongue piercings all tell me the same thing, which is that there is one reason, and only one reason, a tongue piercing is any good. So any guy with a tongue piercing would automatically be presumed to enjoy doing that thing.
Just be sure to pick up your chaps and ball gag on your way out of the piercing shop....

Why would you use the word gay? I would advise you to look up the definition. It is tacky, unprofessional and rebellious to have a tongue piercing.

I personally think it's a little immature, but it's not gay. Now, if you said that you were exclusively attracted to males, then THAT would be gay.

i think you should seriously think about it.
your parents will probably not let you get one but tell them that it was your dream since youve been a little kid and that you think youre old enough to make it come true.
