For example, if I want to buy a piece of furtniture, most of these offer local pick up only. Why can't I search these items by State?

You can't search by state but you can search within so many miles (there are several choices) of your zip code, which is at least something! You have to click on Advanced search. Hope this helps.

That would be a great idea for large items. Basically, it would be great if you could BID, WIN then drive somewhere to PICK IT UP.

But that's what the Bargain News in Connecticut and Craigslist in various states is all about. For auctions in New Jersey, visit http://www.eptop.com

Google is a great source for state-based on-line auctions and bargain websites. GO FOR IT.

eBay is not a monopoly... in fact, they are OVER PRICED. They charge WAY TOO MUCH in posting fees, so sellers simpy can't give things away. If you SEARCH, you will find closer and at a lower price.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
