If you are planning on using Marie as a middle name, I think it might go better with Amanda. But the names Lauren and Amanda sound pretty for twins.

I love the names Amanda and Lauren. But, as an Amanda, I hate the nickname Mandy. No one is aloud to call me that but a great aunt. I personally don't know any Amandas that like Mandy.

Amanda and Lauren. Those are cute. Especially since they don't rhyme or start with the same letter or any other thign that some people think all twins should do. I'm having triplets in about three weeks and I got Huey, Duey, and Luey and Nathan, Nancey, and Neil. No thanks. I want my children to be different. Good luck to you, your husband, Madison, and the twins!!

Congrats on your twins!

First and formost, they are your children, please name them what you and your husband like. You'll have to live with the names for a very long time.

Some people belive heavily in the meanings of names transfering to the people who wear them; food for thought on the names you are deciding between....

Amanda:
The meaning of the name Amanda is Worthy Of Love
The origin of the name Amanda is Latin

Lauren:
The meaning of the name Lauren is Laurel
The origin of the name Lauren is American

Marie:
The meaning of the name Marie is Sea Of Bitterness
The origin of the name Marie is French

yea those are really cute names. im diggin amanda. its not very common, but then again it doesnt stand out.and its not gunna sound stupid when shes 80. but i dont know... lauren. its a good name and all.. but its rrrreeealllllyyy common. i know 6 laurens. and i just think that it could be maybe a little bit better. honestly i think lauren would be a great middle name. i love the names monica, roxanne, and adelina.

but honestly, i think those are very lovely names. and theres absolutely nothing wrong with them. just laurens a little on the common side. and theres nothing wrong with it. and i just like having names that are not like really off the wall crazy, but not names that are reallly traditional and common either.

but i bet your twin girls are gunna be ah-mazing no mattter what you name them. best of wishes!

Amanda and Lauren are cute names, and they aren't those hideous "matching" or "rhyming" names that people insist on giving their twins.... However I wouldn't call her Mandy - you already have an "M" named child. Use her proper name, but that's just my thing! Good luck!

I like both Lauren and Amanda----but I don't like nicknames, so Mandy is out for me!
