Should we ignore the possibility that the motives of these people may not be quite as noble as they claim ?---Who are these people who seem to have such an irrational zeal to rid us of a Presdent who looks and talks like a humble little man.
When our planes were droping bombs all over Iraq his popularity was higher than any President in our history.
But once we got soldiers on the ground, they looked like rats leaving a sinking ship.
Could some of these protesters be soldiers who were willing to accept the military benifits but not the fighting?
Could some be the relatives of these bug-outs?
Might many of them be women, who have always been opposed to any War and have never been expected to be worriors?( like Shehan)
Could they be political opponents on many levels, who are hoping to receive some of the spoils of their party getting into power?
I don't really know who they are, but should we assume that they are the patriots they claim to be ,while they shout w/ such hatred.

BOMBS AWAY----I have seen your answers to various questions several times, and you always say "why are you not in Iraq".
It shows that you are very preoccuped w/ the fear of fighting in Iraq. ---Are you one of the bug-outs?
I'm a decorated war veteran, as are many others who don't share your values.

WOOBIE---I really haven't been persuaded by anything I've heard from Republicans. I have just been so disgusted by the hysteria coming from the Bush-haters, and their inability to offer anything constructive.
They present themselves as experts on what Bush is doing wrong, but I have never heard them give a reasonable suggestion about the right course of action.---Even the leaders of their own party think it would be foolish to just cutt and run, but they never offer anything else.
Do they not remember the millions of people who were slaughtered when we followed that advice in Vietnam?
Do they believe they can help this country simply by repeating " Bush is a dummy"?
Could any thinking person want this country in their hands?

WOOBIE---I'm sorry , but I'm comfortable w/ having troops in both countries.---I can remember when we couldn't even get permission to fly over these countries to strike back at our enemies. Now we have air bases and troops in mid. eastern countries where trouble will surely arise in th future.---Beats fighting those cowards w/ children and elderly on our streets.

NEBTET---Good shot;--- however, I'm not claiming that all opposed to Bush are unpatiotic, ---but they do seem to be an hysterical bunch, who are offering nothing but insults( some even wishing for me to be casterated for not hating that simple little man) ---it kinda makes them suspect.

You're upset that I question the patriotism of SOME unidentified people, but are you upset when, these people in the shadows, make bold-faced charges about the patriotism of our president?--- is it O.K. to claim he "went to war for oil", or to make money for himself and his buddies?
Are these people making these charges the cool heads that you want to lead our country?
And do you really want me to be sterlized?

2007-07-15 18:49:04 · update #5

Does your hatred lead you to believe that our President would really let all those soldiers be killed or cripled to make money for his budies?
I understand your frustration w/ the problems in Iraq,---but, come on girl.

You must undertand that many of these old conservatives remember the kind of talk they heard before we pulled out of Vietnam and caused millions to die in the "Killing Fields".

These charges against liberals are not just insults, they're part of our history----a very shameful part.

Before you carry on dramticaly about the MAJORITY clearly being always right, think back about the one that told us the world was flat,--the Nazis in Germany, and the one that crucified Christ.
Don't dismiss us as "Bushies", just because we are afraid of our country being led again by people who try to lead us by making cute little remarcs, and using emotionally loaded words and dramatics..---people like Jane Fonda, and Rosy O'donnel, --who's only message to us seems to be "hey, look at me. What a wonderful person I am because I have all these strong FEELINGS, and I I I I am blah, blah, blah.
Please look at ME ME ME, and if I can make all these cute , clever statements, I I I can surely lead this country.
We don't want to be led by people who just repeat a million times " Bush is dumb", or " He can't pronounce nuclear".

If you want to lead, tell us what YOU intend to Do.---If we should get out of Iraq---how should we DO it w/o killing millions of people again.

Are YOU offering a better world, or just better speeches?
Telling us "Bush can't" doesn't convince us that YOU can.

Why do you call it "G.W.'s war; when so many Democrats voted for it?---Including Hilary, who stil seems to support it, but unlike Bush, she's allowed to change her mind.
Strange how many have bugged out after our planes stopped dropping bombs all over the place, and we had to fight the Iraqis face to face.
Have you been able to keep your panties dry since that time?

Well thought out.

I think most of the vitriol towards Bush stems from emotion and media rancoring. Bush gets credit for nothing, despite his many successes: e.g. Economy, Education, Libya, etc. Even Iraq is improving now and surge is slowly working (although Iraq is doing poorly politically) and more and more provinces are turning to allied forces for support against islamists like AQI.

Bush is far from perfect, but obviously his opponents see a political opening and route for them to get their party voted into power. Any positive news for Bush is bad news for them. They also see the negative polls from an uninformed public and are energized and will make the attacks even more vicious.

Some borderline comments right here. Some say that Bush is too socially conservative. Right... Bush is not a conservative and certainly not socially. Note: the immigration bill
One huge person against Bush; George Soros

The Hungarian was born in the time of the Nazis and grew up under Communism. Anyone he opposes he calls a Nazi. He made a billion dollars after the fall of the Soviet Union by currency speculation. He told to leave Russia because he was destablising their currency, he was asked to leave England for the same reason. Now he resides in the US. He owns the democratic party (He said so after the November election) He donates (the primary donater) money to Media Matters and many other left wing online services, blogs, and organizations. He has learned to change opinion using the Internet. During the recent Republican debate, Ron Paul was touted as the winner by online organs. Those organs have been traced back to Soros.
This is probably the biggest rat. Yep, I said rat.

what you should know about the people that oppose Bush's war on Iraq is that they are 62% of the American People. that's SIXTY TWO PERCENT. in other words the MAJORITY of your fellow Americans oppose GW's war on the Iraqis. it seems you're suggesting that the MAJORITY of Americans are a bunch of unpatriotic anti-American fringe fanatics who have some narfarious ulterior motive other than what they feel is right for America. gotta tell ya, Bubba ... you've got a lot of frigging nerve to call the patriotism and motives of the majority of Americans into question, especially when the neoCONs you're so loyal to are raking in the mega bucks from Bush's war ... a war engaged in under false pretenses. my God! i hope your sterile.

PS. well, the anti-war folks who express themselves radical ways are no worse than the passionate pro-war people who call anyone who doesn't cheerlead for GW "traitors", "terrorist enablers" and "libtards". the hatred that is vomitted by media creatures like Bill O' Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter is far more virulent than anything heard from the anti-Bush people and such creatures get more air time and publicity.
Fox Spews isn't fair and balanced and neither are you.

The people that oppose bush are people that have common sense and aren't easily brainwashed by the republican party.

Additional Info:

We're not in iraq cause it's a pointless war...why are we in iraq, when the people responsible for 9/11 are in afghanistan, and other countries in the Middle East.

"Is that why you're not in Iraq fighting?"

Every time I see it I want to say. I have an inoperable knee injury with multiple ligament and muscle tears obtained while serving. What is your excuse?
