It's strange, with all of the action movies he has been in. All other major action heroes, I can think of, have died in at least one movie.

Now that is a very interesting question. I cant think of one. I will check and let you know. But for now, the answer has to be no.

I believe the closest I saw of him dying onscreen was in "Hang em High" when those cowboys hanged him for "stealing a calf". I thought he'd finally die in "The Guantlet" but nooooo, he apparently eats bullets for breakfast.

One could argue that he was dead in "High Plains Drifter." He was dead before the movie ever started.
