Why can't we all drink milk? It is the same concept here. People have different food allergies as well as different "people allergies". That is the reason. Some people just do not see eye to eye and refuse to follow the beaten path. This is good in the sense of diversity, but where there is diversity there is also hostility.

So far I've boiled it down to ego and greedy self interests. It's tricky because I feel that in my own life, trying to be reasonable or just plain decent I tend to get used like a doormat and find myself getting sucked into the battle of the wills/ego. It's a constant struggle. good luck with this one.

A truth: There are things in this world not meant to exist in harmony with one another, whether they be so close as to touch, or so far as to never know of the other's being.

Actions were taken in defiance of this truth, and indeed, they stirred imagination of the world, yet only seemed to hasten its inevitable end. Who can say this is not the preferable outcome?

That's what I think, but it sucks because as long as Satan is here, I don't really think that will happen because it's his mission to destroy us. But, yeah, it would totally rock if we could all just put all our differences aside and get along.

The reason we can't get along is ego. everyone has it, (not that we like to admit to it) and that just gets in the way. Plus we get irritabl and angry, and any number of other things.

Perhaps if we rework the question...
How can we all just get along? or
What if we all agreed to get along? or
What would need to happen for everyone to get along? or
If we all got along would there be peace on earth? or
When will we all learn to get along? or
Where do we all get along and what do we all need to change to make that happen in all ways always and wouldn't it be great if we do this now?

open ourselves to possibilities we wish to see, create, live...

a question that leads to more questions is a great start, thanks for asking!

/sigh...because we always think that things and ppl are too complicated, when in reality, they're actually quite simple. Either that or because we just don't like each other...
