Irregularity can occur due to many reasons: i.e. hormone imbalances, excessive exercise, weight loss and stress.
If you are sexually active, pregnancy is always a possibility.
There are family planning clinics in most communities where you can get a free pregnancy test, an exam and talk to a nurse or doctor about the irregularity as well as birth control options if you are not pregnant and alternatives if you are. The services are usually confidential and protect your privacy.

Go see your doctor. If you are not pregnant ask him for the birth contril pill to regulate your period. If you are afraid of him telling your mom there are family planning clinics you can go to that are confidential.
