I am actually looking for a free hard copy of " The heart asks pleasure first" composed by Michael Nyman.

You will have to go out and actually (gasp) BUY it. Nyman is still alive, ALL of his music is under copyright, so if you find a "free" hardcopy somewhere, it is a pirated version, and you have become a thief if you download it.

People, I see this question again and again. Music stays under copyright for 70 years. Even then, the composer or his/her estate can renew that copyright. The only downloadable music is that which is in Public Domain -- no longer under copyright. You all own computers, so you ought to be able to afford to pay for a piece of sheet music, for the love of God.

Try search engines like Yahoo! and Google. Because copyrights are quite hard and fast, you may have to look for the cheapest possible. Search for the name of the piece, if that doesn't work, try the name of the composer. If that doesn't work just try "Free hard music copies" in a search engine. Something will come up. Hope you find it, it's a great piece!
