I celebrated my second anniversary on Y/A by getting laid off of work, not that I am complaining since I will be 62 in February. Both of my parents were democrats but my father died when I was 13 and I didn't follow politics much. Of course in 1961 we didn't need to keep our eyes on these idiots as often either. I started to pay attention once I got into high school and Johnson was heating up the Vietnam War. I could not stand that man and I had wished that Nixon had beat Kennedy in 1960 even though my parents voted for Kennedy. I decided that I would vote for the person that I thought would be the best person for the job, political party made no difference to me, if the person could convince me they were best that is who I voted for. I am an independent conservative, I did not vote for McCain in the primaries. I voted for Romney, I did vote for McCain for president, the reason was that between him and Obama the experience and policies were so vastly different from each other. Hillary Clinton never entered my mind other than to say "Please God, anyone but Hillary" God answered my prayer and gave us Obama, next time I will know better and be careful for what I as for.
