No! I'd much rather buy myself something I know I like then have my other be totally lost and get me something I don't want or need. I don't think it's inpersonal either b/c he doesn't go around giving just anybody money! And for anybody who says it is, you're nuts to turn it down and be an *** when someone wants to give you money as a gift. It really is how it is presented, I think.

not at all, i just had my bday, and he gave me cash...well, i could just say i really enjoyed my out-of-the country shopping spree...so receiving a cash as a gift from ur significant other is not a bad idea (maybe it depends on how much...hahaha)...seriously, i wont be offended...

That's totally impersonal, I wouldn't like that @ all.Takes no thought to put some cash in an envelope.

Yeah sort of. Only the principal of it though. I kinda like shopping so i could buy something i want myself without feeling guilty.
