"You ARE pretty."
&
"You LOOK pretty."
Well I do know the difference but was wondering if others do.

When someon says you are pretty to me it means that they're talking about your natural beauty whereas if they say you look pretty they're saying it because you've used something to make you look this way!

"Evolutionists think that man evolved from monkeys" LMFAO that just shows your knowledge on Biology. We didnt come from monkeys. NEVER once was we monkeys. but since you believe a guy took 2 of all 10+ billion land animals on a boat you probably dont understand it. Evolution is a Fact rather you believe it or not. The Bible has no evidence to back it up and never will.

The first states that you are in fact pretty while the second implies that you have some how deceptively pulled off appearing pretty even though you aren't actually!

The first sentence indicates a permanent situation.
The second sentence indicates that you appear to be pretty due to something you're wearing or your makeup. The speaker doesn't think you're normally pretty.

You are pretty is stating exactly that, where you look pretty could be that how you have presented yourself on that occasion makes you look pretty, cos normally your a plain Jane. How did I go?

i think maybe if they say u look pretty mean u look pretty today...and if thet say u are pretty they aaaaare saying that u are pretty all the time...
or if they say u are pretty they mean on the inside and out and if they say u look pretty they just on the out

You are pretty means you are pretty in general. As in you always look pretty in any situation.
You look pretty means at that particular moment. Maybe as in looking pretty while dressed up nice.

Maybe "You look pretty" means your pretty on the outside, but "you are pretty" means you're pretty inside and out
