Yep. My mom has pictures of me with black hair on the day I was born. Then it went to brown, brownish red, reddish blond, then a light strawberry blond. By the time I was in fourth grade it was back to a reddish brown. It got darker as I got older. Real dark dark almost black. My son was born with red hair (his dad's mom has red hair and so does his uncle) Then it turned blond then white! It stayed platinum blond until he was in the 2nd grade when it started to get darker. Now he is a dishwater blond.
Now my hair is changing again, (sigh). White.

A new borns hair will usually either fall out and come in another color or change from straight to curly, or eventually change color.Whatever color the baby's eyebrows are are usually what color they will end up with.If they have dark eyebrows then they may keep thei same color. My 1st baby was born a redhead ,by 1 yr. he was dirty blond, and by 5 yrs he was dark brown. My 2nd and3rd had lite brown hair @ birthmy middle child went dirty blond by 2 months old and kept it until he was 7or8,in the summer when he's in the sun it still turns blond and he's 40, with kids of his own.Hair color as eye color is genetic. Someone somewhere in the family history may have had reddish hair and almost all babies are born with blue eyes and they too will change.

A child's hair and eye color can change drastically withing the first year. Sometimes even later than that. I had one child born with bleach blonde hair and blue eyes, he now has medium brown hair (still blue eyes) and he is 7. My other son was born with jet black hair and blue eyes. He now has a medium to dark brown hair and brown eyes, he's 6. For a few years I didn't even know what color his eyes were. As they loose their baby hair and new hair grows in it is very normal for the color to change. Most likely his true hair color will not be really known until he is about 2 or so. And even then it may change as he gets older.

a baby's hair and eye color can change after birth by the time they're about 3-4 months old. my daughter was born with dark brown hair and she lost most of it, when it came back it was much lighter. most likely, the new color will remain permanently. now it is possible that part of it has to do with the summer sun. my hair gets red highlights in it during the summer.

Yes my son was born with dark brown almost black hair and at about 8 months it started turning red and at about 2 it started turning blond around the edges. He is almost 4 now and it is a mixture of colors and we have never cut it to see what it is going to do. He now has a brown, red and the edges are blond afro.

absolutely--My oldest son had long dark hair on his head when he was born and by the time he was 4 months old it was white blonde. Their eyes can change color too at first. You won't really know for sure what the eye color will be until he is a year old.

Only a docter know for sure. The child might have red hair into the teens or might get brown hair before grade school. Just enjoy it and take pictures. So if and when her hair changes you have proof she used to be a copper red head. If her hair gets black she will not beleive you without the photo proof. Congradulations

your hair color can change when you are growing up. when I was growing up my friend, at about age 6 or 7 was a dark brunette, but when I went into her bedroom, there was a picture of a very white blonde little girl in her room, it was her at age 1. My nephew's hair was brown when he was born but turned red as he grew older, and is still red now that he is 21.

My oldest son was born with dark brown hair and each time a washed it, it also got lighter and lighter until it became pale blonde. So your son's hair will probably be that color until he gets older when his hair will naturally darken.
