Exactly what the above poster said. It's most likely the bedding you are using. Cedar is very terrible for small rodents and animals. The dust can really harm their respiratory system. As well as the oils in the wood can burn their skin or the scent can cause issues as well. Pine is also one to stay away from. The one you want to use is the plain white wood shavings or the recycled newspaper stuff. They also have some cotton ones out now that work well too.
