I am a minor, or I am under 18 years of age. I know that many laws do not apply to me because of this. I know that if I were to sign my name to any document it would be void if it were presented in a court setting (I reside in U.S.A.)
I want to go online and fill out some of those surveys that say they will send you free stuff (ipods, and the like). However, all say you must be 18 or older. My question is, because I am under the age of eighteen and I am a minor, can I legally tell the online survey that I am eighteen and not be punished by law?

Well, it might technically be illegal. However, there you won't be punished by the government for it. The worse that will happen is you won't get anything from the company once they find out you are under 18 (many require proof of age). Most aren't legit though, so don't waste your time.

More importantly (since this is the law & ETHICS) category - it is WRONG to do what you are suggesting. To misrepresent yourself for purposes of securing property that does not belong to you is stealing. I'm sure your parents explained that stealing is wrong. I'm also sure that you don't like having things stolen from you. Then don't steal from others.

They are all scams...those things usely want you to buy something else. That is why you have to be 18, so you will have the money to buy something else.

I am not suggesting you do it, but, please realize that most of what is offered that has any value is usually some kind of a scam. Please be very careful.
