I really want to be on broadway when I get older but I heard you cant get any good roles without an equity membership. So what do i do?

Sort of going in circles on this one. You can't get an equity card until you have done enough work on stage and proven yourself, and you can't get on stage until you get the equity card. Sort of fun isn't it.
You really have to start on off off off broardway and take any role you can get to start making a name for yourself. It takes quite awhile to work your way up until you are finally seen by someone who will sponsor you to get an equity card, that is if ever. A lot of people never make it. But if it's your dream just keep on trying. You never know what can happen.

You cannot act in a professional show without Equity membership. The way you get that membership is to get a job in a professional show. The way you get that job is to have an agent.

I got my membership by being casted in a local theatre play...it just happened to employ equity actors.
